Berrien County Youth Fair

CMW is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides theatrical productions for youth of any ethnic, cultural and economic background, grades 1-12 and beyond, in a nurturing, safe atmosphere of wholesome activity.  We help youth build confidence and self-esteem, while learning teamwork and the joy of expressing themselves through dance, music and drama and community service.

10 days of more than 75 award-winning features, documentaries, and shorts at eight screening locations along with hands-on workshops and post-screening discussions. Venues include the ARS Gallery Arts & Culture Center, Bridgman Public Library, Citadel Dance & Music Center (Oak Room), Krasl Art Center, the Loma Theatre, the New Buffalo Township Library, the Michigan City Public Library and the Stanley Clark School in South Bend.

Come play tennis in a familiar and ideal location. Choose one of eight tennis courts or play by yourself against "the wall", or round up your friends for a friendly game of softball. Freedom Boat Club was first founded in 1989 in Sarasota, FL. It is the oldest and largest boat club in the nation. The vision and purpose in establishing the boat club model was simple and straightforward … to provide an affordable option to boat ownership and to deliver a hassle-free recreational boating experience for its members.

The John and Dede Howard Skate Park is an in-line skating, skateboarding, and BMX biking facility. Complete with ramps, rails and half-pipes. Helmets are recommended.

The Lake Effect Jazz Big Band was created in 2000 by Tom Weidle, a Herald-Palladium reporter, and Vito Tenerelli, a St. Joseph band instructor, who both wanted to create an "artistic" jazz ensemble, one that would read only the most state-of-the-art arrangements, and perform strictly as a "concert" jazz ensemble.  Tom (since departed for sunny California) and Vito, our first music director, brought the dream to fruition in January 2001 recruiting 20 of the area's finest jazz musicians to play within its ranks.

The heart and soul of the Lake Effect Jazz Big Band are music educators from Southwest Michigan. The essence of Jazz is positive self-expression and without educators like those in the band, this American art form is in danger of fading.

The mission of the St Joseph Junior Foundation is to provide sailing and water safety instruction to youth and adults at an affordable price, and to provide a safe, fun environment in which they can learn and appreciate our natural resources, the waters of St. Joseph, Michigan.

The St. Joseph Junior Foundation (SJJF) will kick off its 2020 sailing program on June 22nd. That said, there’s still plenty of time to register for classes which will run throughout the summer. Our program offers youth sailing lessons for beginner to ad- vanced sailors ages 8-18. These classes are offered in the mornings with a one-week format or in the afternoons with a three-week format. Tiscornia Beach is a family oriented park located on sixteen acres along the shoreline of Lake Michigan at the northwest corner of the City. Paid admission per vehicle is required for Non City Residents and those without Season Passes.

Leashed pets allowed on the sidewalk and pier only.

West Basin Marina is conveniently located just inside the pier heads one block from the public beach at Tiscornia Park and next to the St. Joseph River Yacht Club (Latitude/Longitude 42º07'N86º30'W). There are no drawbridges west of the West Basin Marina. The marina has 100 total boat slips, 90 seasonal and 10 transient, ranging in size from 30' to 50' in length. To make a guest reservation at West Basin Marina, please call 269-983-5432; in the off-season, please call 269-983-4731. Transient slips rates are the same as the State of Michigan's Rate Schedule.

The City Boat Launch is located on Anchor's Court, on Marina Island. There is a small daily per car/trailer parking fee for both residents and non-residents; residents and non-residents may purchase a season parking permit from the City Clerk's Office at City Hall.
