Berrien County Parks offers interpretive programs, field trips, events, and a variety of activities throughout the year.

Dickenson Park | Stubblefield Tennis Court

Come play tennis in a familiar and ideal location. Choose one of eight tennis courts or play by yourself against "the wall", or round up your friends for a friendly game of softball. Take time out with your dogs to teach them a new trick or two, there's plenty of room. Bathrooms, lights and playground. No alcohol. Open all year from 8am to 11pm.

Fernwood Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve

Beautiful gardens surrounded by forest are tucked into a landscape of 105 acres of cultivated and natural areas along the scenic St. Joseph River valley.

Galien River County Park

Composed of upland & wetland habitats, this nature park features a 300' Canopy Walkway that leads to a 60'-high Marsh Overlook Tower and a 600'-long Marsh Boardwalk that leads to River Viewing and Fishing Platform.

John and Dede Howard Recreation Trail

This multi-use path allows for beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the St. Joseph River over most of its length.

John and Dede Howard Skateboard Park

The John and Dede Howard Skate Park is an in-line skating, skateboarding, and BMX biking facility. Complete with ramps, rails and half-pipes. Helmets are recommended.

Monday - Saturday, 9am - 8pm, Sunday, noon - 5pm
BMX bikes only on Mondays from 9am - 3pm
Thursdays from 3pm - 8pm

Kiwanis Park and Dog Play Park

Kiwanis Park is located on Pearl Street near Langley Avenue.

Lake Bluff Park

Scenic overlook of the Lake Michigan shore and piers and lighthouse.

Lion's Park Beach

Beach with three shelters, public restrooms, grills, picnic tables, and playground equipment.

Lookout Park

Located on Lakeshore Drive north of Hawthorne Avenue, Lookout Park has two separate parking areas with picnic facilities allowing a scenic view of Lake Michigan.

Love Creek County Park & Nature Center

Love Creek County Park & Nature Center features over 100 acres of meadows, forests, marshes and creeks.

Madeline Bertrand County Park

Located on the east bank of the St Joseph River, this park offers visitors a variety of outdoor activities.

Milton Park

Milton Park is located at the corner of Niles and Winchester Avenues. It is a passive park with play area and playground equipment.

Paw Paw River County Park

Berrien County's newest park, the Paw Paw River County Park, is approximately 14 acres of wilderness and peaceful tranquility near downtown Watervliet.

Sarett Nature Center

The Woods Fitness Park

The area's first outdoor workout facility, designed to promote exercise for all levels, from beginners to obstacle race elites.

Whirlpool Compass Fountain

The Whirlpool Compass Fountain runs on a set schedule throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall for use by the general public.
