The Dowagiac River in Cass County, Michigan is a popular, moderately paced and family friendly river. Just perfect for the beginner or intermediate canoeist or kayaker. It is the largest cold water stream in lower southwest Michigan. The river is canopied with hardwoods like Oaks, Maples, Beeches etc. Exploring the river is fun and creates lasting momeries.
